Today we talked about great opening sentences from books and how these sentences "grab" readers and make them want to read more. We worked through an activity and played a great game. The assignment from today was to make a great "grabber" beginning for your fractured fairy tale.

Today we began brainstorming for our fractured fairy tale paper. Students are to complete their own original fractured fairy tale as part of our narrative writing unit. Attached is a copy of the assignment sheet and the brainstorming worksheet.
